Dream – Strange Chain/Healing

Late night photography turns into a family crisis.

It all started on a shoreline cliff. It was night time, but moon light kept things very visible. I was standing around with a group of people. The waters were calm and there were a number of animals on the shoreline. I had my camera out and was taking pictures. The area was populated mostly with Canada Geese slowly moving around the water, and Rabbits jumping from rock to rock. I was snapping pictures, until all of the animals started to scramble and quickly leave the area. In an instant, there was no more wildlife to be seen. Everyone was kind of puzzled, but soon people started running as they saw large waves coming at us. Even though they were pretty big and moved very fast, the cliff was high enough so that no one was hit by the wave. However, my main concern was protecting my camera from water damage. After the crash I stuffed my camera under my shirt and crouched down. Waves kept on approaching and the water level was getting higher, so we decided to leave. We walked away from the cliff and entered my block. Police vans and other emergency vehicles drove past us, but we kept on walking east.

After a few blocks I was in a big city street that was 4 lanes wide. I was now walking with a group of different people. There weren’t any other people around, but a lot of vehicles were driving up the street. There was construction areas all around, with the big orange and white pipes blowing out steam you often see in New York City. We were just walking along the sidewalk, when I started jumping for no reason. The people I was with started laughing at me. Traffic on the street died down and then on my next jump I started floating in the air. Everyone was now shocked. I soared up around 60 feet when a huge truck started driving up the street. Once it drove past I could no longer fly and landed on the ground. It was then that I deduced that the fumes from the cars kept me from being able to fly. I waited for the road to empty once again and just jumped up and kept on flying up away from the group of people. I landed perhaps twenty blocks away, and entered a shopping mall.

In the mall, I met up with my mother. We walked around the mall and ended up in the food court. The food court was kind of a gazebo shaped structure with two levels. She said she had to go to the bathroom. She went into this door that led to stairs going up. I waited for her return, but after a while she didn’t come back. I started to get worried so I went to go up the stairs, but when I reached the door, it wouldn’t open. No matter what I did, the door wouldn’t open.

I went to the outside of the food court, and jumped up. I flew up to the top of the food court and saw a group of people surrounding a box. A couple women, a man, and a priest. The box was covered with Christmas-themed wrapping paper. The man that was there ran up to me and grew in size. His fingers had claws on them and he wound up to take a swipe at me. I extended my arm and sent a shock wave at the guy and he flew back, crashing into a table. He was unconscious, but soon his eyes turned white and horns came out of his head. He started getting up but I sent another shock wave at him and threw him down. I then held my hand out and upwards and started pulling his soul out of his body. A glowing blue stringy cloud started leaving the guy’s body and started floating in my hand. I pulled out a small metal container out of my pocket and put it inside, and closed it.

The Priest ran up to me and tried to take the container out of my hand. He was yelling at me saying “You can’t do that!” and started hitting me. I pushed him back and looked back at the box. I ran to it and started ripping the wrapping paper off of it. Under the wrapping was a clear plastic box with my mom inside of it. There was blood all over, and her body was pretty mangled, with bullet holes all over the place. She was screaming in pain. I ripped open the container and held out my hand. I started pulling with my hand and bullets started emerging from my mom’s body and came to me. Once I pulled them all out, my mother’s body started to heal itself. I looked down at her leg and the dry, dead skin was being revitalized and was turning back to normal.

My mother stood up and the Priest started yelling again, saying that I couldn’t do what I was doing. He pulled out a gun and proceeded to shoot me at least 15 times, all in the chest. At first I didn’t really feel anything but soon I could feel all the bullets bunching up in my chest making for a scorching pain. I went down for a moment and the priest smiled. I gathered my wits and stood up, and held my breath. I started pushing all of my muscles and in one great effort, I pushed out all of the bullets that were in my body. The priest couldn’t believe what he saw. He reloaded his gun and I prepared for another wave of gun shots towards me. Instead he aimed the gun at my mother. Right at the moment he fired his first shot I froze time. I could see the bullet stopped in mid air and knocked it out of the way. I then grabbed the gun and time started moving normally again. I pushed the Priest away, then ran up to him, pistol whipped him in the jaw and then sent him over the ledge with an extended hand to the chest. He flew off the ledge and landed on the surface below in a pool of blood. I looked back at the other women that were in the room the whole time. The only thing I had to say to them was “Why?” They said nothing, and just ran away to the door and disappeared. I went back to my mom who was now okay and then it was over.
